Day 3- Happy Birthday Jean!

It was jean’s birthday; we gave her a surprise at 12 midnight and also another one the next day with our china local friends, and I must say it was really a success! She was really surprise because she didn't expect anything even though we were doing things pretty obviously! (:

In the morning, the local students came over with a cake to surprise her yet again!

really yummy cream cake!

make a wish

One of the biggest shopping centres in 江汉路

After lunch, we went to shopping for the whole day while the china students went to watch a movie. We met them for dinner at this Hong Kong restaurant, the service was just awful. Not only did they put us on a huge table, they also insist that we pay more because we were not fully utilising the table, which didn’t make sense as we didn’t request to sit there.

After dinner, our local friends were suppose to bring us to some club but it was really smoky and the whole place smelt of cigarettes, so we decided to give it a miss. However we got to tour around before heading out. I must say the clubs here and those back in Singapore are totally different. It has lesser youngsters in it and it was pretty empty for a weekend. In Singapore youngsters were very common and old people ( 25 and above) were hardly seen close by. Also they would be dancing on the dance floor but when i was there it was pretty empty.

How it looks like in the club. ( actually photography is not allowed in there )

pretty lights no?

Reflection:
Its already the 3rd day, and it doesn't seem to get warmer but COLDER
From what we experience during dinner, I learnt that we should ask before we decide on anything, reason being we're not from their country, they might not like as and want to find fault with us but we can't do much but just abide to whatever they say as this isn't our territory and their culture and system maybe different from us, so by asking it will reduce and glitches and misunderstandings between each other and everyone will be happy !
